Our story

Inoue Iron Works’ history is one of meeting customer needs with continuous technological innovation over the years. The story began about 150 years ago when founder Kuichi Inoue ventured to set up a repair business for farm machinery. Since then, the company has grown while adapting to ever-changing demands. His son turned his focus to machining. His grandson started to manufacture farm machinery such as threshers and his great-grandson specialized in machining gears. But they all had one thing in common: aiming to provide highly technical service and products their customers can trust. With this basic commitment in mind, they all identified business opportunities in each era with a flexible outlook, facing challenges with confidence and ingenuity.
Today, Inoue Iron Works, as a gear specialist, is meeting the demands of customers globally from various industries by machining, grinding and assembling gears.
We will continue to enhance our capability by developing ways to improve technological skills and produce even more reliable and high precision gears. Based on our long business history, we are committed to supporting the manufacturing industry by offering our speciality gear machining with our highly technological skills in our advanced facility. Our business sees no boundaries: we continue to anticipate our customer needs, planning our business into the future, and seeking ways to contribute to the industry of tomorrow, and boldly challenging ourselves to crate a better future.
